Why The Cyber Siblings?
With both siblings being cyber security and risk professionals, many people across the US and Asia-Pacific regions started introducing them as “Oh, have you met Anu and Sumeet? They’re siblings in cyber. I guess you could say, The Cyber Siblings”.
Hereafter, the duo has affectionately been referred to as The Cyber Siblings. The name stuck! And now they are known by this nickname all around the globe.
The Symbol of Protection
Appreciating the Logo
The diagonal set of circles depicts a sacred thread called a rakhi. Culturally, the festival of Rakshabhandan (termed Rakhi for short) is celebrated as Siblings Day and is revered around the world for its celebration of the power of a sibling as a friend and as a protector, much like the field of cyber security.
On this day, the sister ties a sacred thread on the wrist of the brother and feeds him sweets and in return the brother bestows gifts to his sister. They both vow to fiercely protect each other, with the thread being symbolic of the power and unique bond that exists between siblings.
The Cyber Siblings bring this across to the realm of cyber security as well.

Meet the Siblings
Anu Kukar
Anu is a cyber security executive with 20+ years of experience having worked at Tier 1 banks, Big 4 consulting and Tier 1 technology companies across EMEA, UK, APAC and ANZ. This includes having been a member of Board Audit and Risk Committees for regulated entities. Her core domain expertise is in financial services covering cyber strategy, securing business transformations, securing the adoption of emerging technologies, supply chain security, cyber risk and governance.
She is a multi-award winner, global keynote speaker and passionate about building lifelong learning mindsets and driving diversity in cyber and technology.

Sumeet Kukar
He is an enterprise risk and security leader with 15+ years of experience, helping businesses become resilient so that they can efficiently respond and recover from incidents, exceed regulatory expectations and reduce risk exposure. His expertise is in financial services including banking, insurance, pension, capital markets, asset management and foreign branches. This has covered the EU, US, Middle-East, UK and Asia-Pacific markets.
Sumeet is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Ethical Hacker and has built cyber and risk functions in financial services as an interim Chief Risk Officer working closely with the Board and regulator. He has also been on Boards and been a representative Sector Lead, promoting bilateral trade among nations in the education sector. Sumeet has also run workshops for international Reserve Banks and Regulators to help shape new policies and regulations and to supervise the financial services sector.
He was formerly awarded Australia’s Emerging Leader of the Year.
